The Benefits of our daycare with a pre-school program for 3 year olds
Our incredible surroundings are the first step in our considered approach to childcare. The centre was purpose-built to include everything your child requires to thrive. From dedicated eating areas in each room, so no child has to rush; to enough rooms to let different age groups play freely, our childcare centre has everything your child could need. We also have a large outdoor space we’re particularly proud of with real grass, trees, and plants galore, and even chickens running around, which are sure to delight your children.

Play-based programs have been proven to benefit children’s learning above a structured, formal environment. Our qualified educators plan a range of activities based on your child’s interests, to encourage their learning in particular areas. When they come home and you ask, they will say “I played with my friends” and our educators will be able to tell you how they extended their learning, scaffolding on their interests, in particular areas. It’s almost like hiding vegetables in a meal (which we do too!), hiding the focused learning within a playful activity – and that’s what our educators are particularly skilled at.
What Your Child Should be Learning at a Pre-School for 3 Year Olds
At Cressy Road Early Learning, we employ more than the standard number of qualified early years educators. This means there is always someone qualified, on hand to interact with and guide your child through their play and ensure they’re picking up the right skills. Our educators plan activities for children at our 3 year old kinder that encourage curiosity and boost social, emotional, language, and motor skills. We believe in allowing creativity and open-ended play, though, so we don’t impose goals or strict deadlines.
We’ll keep you up to date with what play your child is enjoying through photos, and parents are always welcome to drop by and join in. We like having guests in to share their skills too, so if you have any talents you would be willing to show off and share with the children, let us know. We believe we’ve created something special, and we’re happy to have parents and caregivers see it for themselves.
Our team members have based our play activities on the Early Years Learning Framework. This outlines the set of skills that are recommended before children move up to school. Reading and writing are learned at school now, so the focus for good preschools is on skills that can be learned through play. This approach means your child likely won’t even realise they’re learning. They’ll simply get to explore things that interest them. At the age of three, children should be beginning to develop relationships with other children, drawing basic shapes, kicking and catching balls with better accuracy, and telling basic stories. All of these skills can be built through our structured supervised play, and we will check in with you to ensure your children are hitting the marks we’re expecting.
What’s Included in Our Costs
We believe that our daycare centre with a pre-school program should be accessible to all who need it. This is why we’ve kept our fees affordable and in line with other childcare providers in the area. Better yet, almost everything is included, so you don’t need to worry about packing a large bag when you leave the house in the morning. You’ll need to bring a change of clothes, a drink bottle, a hat, a sheet for naps, and bottles if needed. All activities, excursions, nappies, sunscreen, and five healthy meals and snacks a day are included in our fees. We also include access to ELLA and ELSA to start your 3 year olds at kinder with a healthy curiosity for STEM and second language learning.
